Founders Associate (f/m/d)

München
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

We are a team of passionate engineers, product specialists and medical professionals. As a Founders Associate, you will work directly alongside our founders and get exposure to almost every part of the company, from sales and customer projects through operations to finance and fundraising. You will take ownership of your own topics early, make them yours, and see the impact of your work first-hand.

This is a role for people at the start of their career who want to experience building a young company up close and take on responsibility fast. If you enjoy learning broadly and want to grow, over time, into the areas that suit you best, then this is for you.

  • Help run the founder's day-to-day: Support the leadership team on strategic and operational topics, prepare decisions, and make sure important things don't slip through the cracks
  • Drive projects forward: Own your own cross-functional projects, from ambiguous problem to finished result, and coordinate the people involved
  • Build the foundations: Research, create analyses, presentations and models, and build the processes and materials a growing team needs
  • Understand customers and the field: Contribute to customer projects and sales topics and bring real-world evidence from hospitals back into the company
  • Make things happen: Where something is missing, you step in. You spot what matters right now and act pragmatically instead of waiting for perfect instructions

Your profile

  • A completed or near-completed bachelor's degree, ideally with a business, technical or medical angle. Your field matters less to us than what you made of it
  • Some first hands-on experience, whether through internships, working-student roles, your own projects or volunteering
  • The ability to get up to speed on new topics quickly and to structure complex matters clearly
  • Ownership and reliability: you take topics on and see them through, even when the path isn't mapped out yet
  • Care and the ambition to do things really well, paired with the pragmatism to get moving in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English, written and spoken; German skills are not a must

Nice to have:

  • First exposure to a startup or founding environment
  • Confidence with tools like Excel, PowerPoint and common AI tools
  • Interest in healthcare or experience in the hospital and health sector
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, sales or project management

Why us?

How we work

  • We give you responsibility from day one. You'll get real topics with real impact, not the tasks nobody else wants
  • We keep decision-making close. Decisions are made quickly, and you sit close to the people who make them. What you observe feeds straight into improvements
  • We rely on honest feedback. You'll always know where you stand, and we invest in your development, because your growth is our growth
  • Safety and diligence are no contradiction to pace for us, especially in the sensitive environment of healthcare

Why join us

  • Work that means something, every day: You'll see the impact of your work first-hand, in the time we give back to clinicians and the care their patients receive
  • The best training an early career can offer: You'll learn how a company is built from the inside, work closely with experienced founders, and take on more responsibility than most entry-level roles allow
  • A challenge that will help you grow: The work is hard, real, and deeply rewarding. We expect strong ambition and a desire to learn, and we offer the support to make sure your growth is also fun

About us

About us
We are a young team in Munich with a clear mission and plenty of room to shape things. Here you take on responsibility from day one, work closely with experienced founders, and see directly what difference your work makes for our customers. We value ownership, short decision paths, and honest feedback. Security and diligence are not at odds with speed for us, especially in the sensitive environment of healthcare.
Hospitals in Germany are under enormous pressure. Skilled staff are in short supply, documentation requirements keep growing, and a significant share of working hours goes into administration rather than caring for patients. This is exactly where we come in. Valova is building an AI platform for medical coding, DRG grouping, and revenue cycle management. We automate the complex and error-prone processes around ICD, OPS, and billing data, so that hospitals can work faster, more accurately, and more efficiently. We are building the platform that maps a hospital's entire revenue process, from the initial diagnosis through complete and accurate coding all the way to billing with payers. Today, each of these steps is marked by broken workflows, manual rework, and avoidable revenue losses. Our vision is an end-to-end revenue cycle management that closes these gaps: fewer claim reductions and medical service reviews, a clean case mix, and a financial foundation that gives hospitals room to breathe again. When administration runs reliably in the background, care is what wins in the end.

Why you belong here
You don't just want a job, you want to move something that is genuinely needed in the German healthcare system. Whether you come from medicine, customer-facing roles, technology, or operations: what matters to us is that you want to take ownership and enjoy an environment where much is still taking shape. You bring curiosity, diligence, and the ambition to do things really well. Then we should get to know each other.
